Dangerous Diets: The Science of Intermittent Fasting

Intermittent fasting is a diet that allows you to eat anything for only eight hours during the day. This diet has become very popular, and it was believed that it helps improve  metabolism, in addition to preventing cardiovascular diseases. However, its effectiveness has recently been denied. Scientists have revealed why intermittent fasting is dangerous, and how one can lose weight without dieting and training.

The mechanism of the diet is based on the fact that for a certain period of time a person will not be able to consume a lot of calories, while he can eat whatever he wants. This is where the psychological factor begins to work, people start eating fast food and the body does not replenish the balance of vital vitamins and minerals. This does not help in losing weight, but health and hormonal problems begin to appear.

Intermittent fasting is contraindicated in case of chronic diseases, eating disorders and gastrointestinal problems. The latest study revealed that frequent eating, even in healthy people, causes cholestasis or stagnation of bile, along with the development of hypoglycemia. Therefore, the diet should be selected for each individual individually, and the diet should be calculated taking into account the detoxification of the body, and the balance of useful trace elements.

Scientists decided to conduct an experiment. 120 people were divided into two groups. They set up an intermittent fasting regime for the first group. While the second group was allowed to eat whatever they wanted. But between meals they drank two cups of a special detox drink prepared from Keto Guru effervescent tablets.

The study lasted for 4 weeks. During that period, people who followed intermittent fasting lost an average of 440 grams. While people who ate regular food, but drank our special drink, lost an average of 1180 grams during that period. At the same time, it turned out that for people who lost weight through intermittent fasting, it was accompanied by a greater loss of muscle mass than the participants in the second group.

The amount of muscle mass retained is an important indicator. The state of disease progression, metabolism, and how quickly excess weight is regained after losing it all depend on the amount of muscle mass.
